Goodbye Summer :(
This summer has got to be at the top of my bestest summer's ever! It's weird to think that tomorrow I will be going back to school. The past three months have flown by so quickly and I find myself having trouble accepting that it's finally over.
The weather helps a bit. It's been drastically colder, rainier and the leaves outside my window are alredy changing! As unfortunate as it is, the inevitable has come - fall is here and it's time to go back to school!
I've had such an amazing summer (as you can tell from all of my past posts!) but also a great past three weeks with family and friends at home. I was so glad to catch everyone before we all leave for our respective campuses.
Last night I met up with my girls from high school. We've known each other for the past eight years and we still manage to keep close throughout our university years even though we're spread out all over Ontario and our dear Char in New York. I love how no matter what stage in life we're in we can still manage to maintain our friendships and of course, our corniness!
Many of my friends are graduating at the end of this year. It's funny because at the close of high school we were so convinced that we would not survive the 'toughest years of our academic lives', we dreaded the pressure of university. But as I look at it now, these past three years and now entering my fourth have, once again, flown by so quickly.
Now the thought of 'growing up' and entering the working world or whatever I'm supposed to do in 1-2 years scares the heck out of me! But I know that the Lord has been gently but firmly challeging my life, my heart and shaping me year after year to be ready for the next day, next week, next month, next year.
I know that whatever I encounter this year I'm not experiencing it alone.
Although I wish summer could last another month - I anticipate the new school year with excitement! I'm eager to find out who I will meet, what I will learn and how I can be a part of His awesome work at York!
Have a great first week back to school, (and for those of you at UT and Queen's enjoy your last week of summer!) and finally, have a great first day at work tomorrow Hun! <3

Looks like you've switched over to blogspot.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I secretly read my kids blogs/xangas. And one person was saying that they were confused about their life, and searching for answers. The sermon you delivered on Sunday apparently gave her some hope and some new reflections in her life. So keep it up, Kat, and do not be discouraged! :)
Kat!
Thanks for your encouragement and care throughout these 8 years (and more to come!!) have a great first week =)
Hiiiiiiiii!!! (: So you've done a switch-er-oo onto blogspot! hehe, truthfully - I kinda like it better than xanga, but all my friends kept on pestering me and I guess you could say I gave into peer pressure! haha. Anyway, you're back to school already??? I don't start until next week Monday! Ok, ttyl!
