A (Cheesy) Tribute

*Disclaimer* Cheesy times ahead!

This tribute goes to the one and only Mike Lau, Jr.

The past few days have been pretty crazy. I had this huge presentation due for one of my Language Arts Ed class. And me being me, I left it all to yesterday - a day before it was due :S

I had practicum placement yesterday so I got home around 4:30 pm and started working on it immediately. From 4:30pm to 4:45am I labored in this project of love and finally had it done before 5 this morning.

Even though it was a crafty project with lots of fun characters, glue, magnets, felt, construction paper...I would much rather sleep after a long weekend and a long day. Stress and frustration with different things was also getting the best of me.

So, Mike being Mike, found different ways to encourage me in the past few days.

I've been pretty stressed with the amount of work that needs to be done in a matter of a week. So he called on Sunday night to make sure I got home safely and could definitely sense the stress in my voice. He said he would drop by later that night.

But not only did he drop by, he surprised me with a homemade banana crepe with berries and chocolate sauce!! The way to my heart is definitely through sweets!!

Last night, Mike had a long day at work and going downtown for Unity - I didn't expect to see him afterwards. He called me when he was coming up from DT saying he was heading home. I mentioned that I was craving hot chocolate and I was going to find some around my house.

20 minutes later I get a call and he's outside with a large Timmies hot coco with two milks - just the way I like it :) At the top, he borrowed the Timmies white marker thingy for the cups and wrote 'Add Oil' in Chinese :) That cup helped me stay awake and get my project done!

A few weeks ago he offered to drive me to my early classes every Tuesdays/Wednesdays since he works nearby. But it means that he has to get up earlier as well as get to work earlier! There was prayer meeting this morning at 7am and he offered to wake up at 5:45am to drive me to school.

Honestly...what a boyfriend. How can I not gush about him? haha

Since I slept at 4:45am, I called him at 5:45 to tell him that I needed to sleep so he said he would get me at 7:30am instead.

I slept past my alarm and ended up pressing 'off' instead of 'snooze'! My mom wakes me up at 7:40 asking whether or not I have to go to school! CRAP!! I take the fastest shower of my life and Mike is already waiting for me downstairs. We leave at 8am - I have class at 8:30am and my prof is pretty strict about punctuality.

Mike reassures me every 5 minutes that we'll make it there on time. We zoom, zig zag and weave our way through the morning traffic of Hwy 7 and Keele. I reach my class 8:30am on the dot!

During class I open my bag and found that he put a chrysanthemum tea box in my bag!

Gosh...no words to say, but THANK YOU to the world's best boyfriend <3
