Oceans Will Part

Present suffering may pass,
Lord, Your mercy will last;
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.
And my heart will find praise,
I’ll delight in Your way,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand,
As You open my eyes to the work of Your hand.

Oceans will part; nations come
At the whisper of Your call.
Hope will rise; glory shown.
In my life, Your will be done.

Isn't it amazing? The Lord of our lives, Creator of the earth, Maker of the heavens would part oceans for us?

No matter what we may be faced with, hard pressed or crushed, we will not stumble nor fall for the Lord our God is mighty to save. He is our ever present Help, strong tower, refuge for our tired souls.

This song has been such a huge ministry and blessing to my heart these past few days. God has been soo good! It seems as though no matter what obstacles come my way I've been filled with such peace that truly transcends and goes beyond human understanding. All I know is that my God who has been faithful before, will carry through once more. I am certain of it.

More and more He opens my eyes to see purpose in trials and tests - when I truly begin to see what He is doing; my heart is full of praise! Out of great testing comes great joy...even greater hope and purpose! Oceans will part, clouds will break and you'll finally see purpose in the pain.

I've been reading "The Aids Crisis: What We Can Do" by D.Dortzbach and W.M. Long. It was one of the $5 book of the days at Urbana. Even though I'm only on the second chapter, it's already touched me in so many ways. The Lord really opened my eyes to the significance of the Body of Christ at Urbana. If one part hurts, we hurt. If one part rejoices, we throw a party in honor of them.

We're connected. We're co-joined. We're one.

We need to continually live in the perspective of needing one another. We cannot do without the other and they cannot do without us. Just as a body hurts when a part is maimed, diseased or severed - the church in North America hurts when the church in Africa is hurt. Especially with the 'leprosy' of our day - HIV/Aids.

As I read about the stories, the facts, the numbers - I was reminded that we're interdependent. We cannot function alone nor neglect what we deem as 'dispensable'. The church of Africa needs us just as much as we need them. Let's not forget their fight against this pandemic. Let's join them in their suffering and in their victory. God hasn't forgotten them and neither should we.

Let's call upon the One who is mighty to save. Let's call upon the One who loves the least of these so much that He would part oceans to make a way for them.

Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is mighty to save
He is might to save.

"God never wastes a hurt"...and i know that everything that has been going on these past weeks will work for His glory. I'm praying. Our God is big and He is faithful, He won't let us down.
